The length of the presentation depends on the English competency of the students. For beginning level students, the presentation may be as little two minutes. Even for intermediate level students, the presentation should probably not exceed ten minutes.

Focus on either Speaking and Listening or Reading and Writing, but not in the same lesson. The full range of skills can be taught in successive lessons, but integrating them tends to confuse students.

Present information orally or use just a few words on the board, flip chart, or PowerPoint. Do not start with a reading activity, even you are focusing on reading and writing. Repeat and reinforce the information you present in different ways and paraphrase. If possible, use different media to present information: PowerPoint, graphic, chalk talk, video, audio, or web page.
